Locksmithing is well suited for individuals who like to work with their hands and are assigned to "light duty" employment. While working, a locksmith can either stand or sit at a workbench or counter.
The hours of employment can be either days or evening shifts and many of our graduates work as free lance operators or work on an on-call basis. The working conditions for the industry are excellent and repair shops are clean, well lit and adequately supplied with tools, parts and equipment.
The Charles Stuart School offers placement assistance to our graduates and has been training students for the Locksmithing profession since 1988. Our graduates are now employed in corporations, institution and agencies:
- Home Depot
- Museum of Modern Art
- The Palace Hotel
- Rite Aid Corporation
- New York City Board of Education
- Cabrini Medical Center
- Victim Services Agency
- K&D Door Corporation
- Oppenheimer Towers
- Arrow Locksmith Inc.
- Metropolitan Lumber
- Independent Locksmith Companies and much more!
